The National Conference on Nutrition and Live Food for Aquaculture was held in the Fajr Hall of the Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization, dated 2 October 2018. Initially, Dr. Zolfaghari, the head of the Organization of Agriculture- Jahad- Tehran welcomed the audience and thanked the organizers of the conference. He stated that the agricultural production in the Tehran province is 5 million and 700 thousand tons. He mentioned that the agricultural production in the Tehran province is as much as the production in the West Azerbaijan and even 2 times more than the production in the Kurdistan. More than 8% of the agricultural products exports were from Tehran province and were related to the agricultural and horticultural products and the aquaculture products. The production in the Tehran province is 2.5 kilograms and this province has the record of optimal water consumption. Also, 30% of the greenhouses in the country are in the Tehran province. In the last year, aquaculture production in the Tehran province was 200 tons per hectare and it had a record in ornamental fish farming. In the following, Dr. Hajizadeh, the scientific secretary of the conference referred to the conference and the number of articles. He stated that more than 60 articles were submitted to the secretariat of the conference and 51 papers were accepted as lectures and posters. In the following, he pointed out to the active participation of the experts, researchers and skilled people in the field of live food from research institutes and organizations, the university professors and students and the companies that produce live food as well as the knowledge-based companies in this field. The conference was held from 9 am to 19 pm by presenting the keynote speeches and lectures and posters and 3 workshops on the topics related to economics and business in the production of live food, algae production and reproduction methods andenrichment oflive foods with the emphasis onArtemia.
